Another busy week for Sound Communications; the week kicked off with a Women in Enterprise committee meeting and future plans for the communications group of the network which helps local women in and into business. I have recently spoken to a growing number of potential new members, which will help the worthwhile body grow from strength to strength.
The social enterprise programme, held by North West Marketing, concluded this week and proved to be a useful course for individuals and organisations interested in working further within this sector. The Londonderry Chamber of Commerce held the first of their casual drinks and nibbles events at the Tower Hotel this week also. I enjoyed meeting the Tower Hotel events staff who were more than helpful, and who appear to be striving to put the city centre Derry-Londonderry hotel on the map.
Next week I am meeting up with Barney Toal, Chief Executive of NORIBIC, as part of a course on the Creative Industries Support Programme. I have found the mentoring sessions very useful in helping to define the long term strategic direction of Sound Communications, and would like to express my gratitude to Barney and the NORIBIC team for their support to date.
