In Your Space Launches New Business

Derry’s creative event providers, In Your Space Event Management, are launching their new business at the Millennium Forum on Thursday 3rd February at 5.30pm.

The company, which has been established by performance company, In Your Space, are holding a celebration to thank those who have supported them to date.

The company, whose artists include stilt walkers, flame throwers and musicians, are launching the event management business to build upon their established reputation for the provision of artists and performers. In Your Space have been pivotal in the delivery of street theatre and large scale productions in the North West over the past ten years, and have launched their very own Carnivale of Colours, International Children’s Festival, three years ago.

John Burns, Director, said: “We are excited to have the opportunity to celebrate our new venture and to thank our supporters over the years, as well as to give a flavour of what we can offer as creative event providers. We’ve always believed in what we offer as a refreshing approach to any type of occasion or celebration.”

In Your Space was established ten years as a collective of freelance artists and circus performers, and will continue in this capacity. In Your Space Event Management has been developed more recently, in response to the company’s demand for offering a full event solution.

Seamus Coyle, Director, added: “We believe we offer an alternative event package to the traditional corporate event providers. We have managed events on behalf a diverse range of groups from local authorities and marketing companies through to community groups. We have an established portfolio of event partners and our artists have become a fixture on many a local event, thanks to our clients.”

Local Women Encouraged to Grow Their Business

Local business women Eibhlin Boydell and Patricia Greene, are inviting women in business to join to their Women in Enterprise workshop at 3pm in the Waterfoot Hotel, Derry, Thursday 27th January.

The Effective Marketing Tools event has been designed to give practical PR and communications guidance to business women looking for advice on making their company stand out.

Eibhlin Boydell, Sound Communications, said: “Women in Enterprise is a support network encouraging women in and into business environments. It is North West based, with a member focus, and gives a helping hand to self-employed and corporate employees. The Network has received funding support from Invest NI under the Go For It Programme and as a group we aim to encourage women to be enterprising – our events offer just a taste of what the network can offer.”

The workshop will focus on developing marketing plans, successful branding, effective website design and optimising communication tools, using PR to promote your business/workplace.

Patricia Greene, Nolka Design, added: “This event has been designed with small to medium business owners and employees in mind, and will provide constructive advice on how to boost the profile of their organisation. We would like to share the most effective ideas that we have learnt and used over the years on effective marketing and brand development.”

Sound Communications, run by Eibhlin Boydell, is a Derry based PR consultancy with several years’ strategic PR and media experience. Nolka Design is an Eglinton based company, run by Patricia Greene and her husband Kevin, specialising in bespoke branding and design solutions.
